Here's a video from Tourism Montreal that highlights two very cool activities to do in the city - the Biodome and Insectarium. Unfortunately, this video is only in French, but it's still worthwhile just to see the interesting animals. The Biodome has 3 distinct areas - tropical, arctic / antarctic, and the local Laurentian Forest region; each one has animals living in their native conditions, and the arctic section with free flying birds is especially interesting. The Insectarium is not for the squeamish, but if you can handle the site of both live insects and those on display, it's great fun for the kids!
Follow this attractive host as she tours Montreal, Quebec in 24 hours. Passing through museums, restaurants, shopping then finally to some clubs and after hour parties, this video does give a sense of the diversity Montreal has to offer, all within walking distance. I just wish she had named some of the venues to help tourists and those planning to visit the city for just a short time, as she did...
Wow, is this ever a slick production. This video manages to showcase Montreal in under three minutes, using a combination of live video and 3D animated flyovers to whisk you from destination to destination. Starting in Old Montreal, you zoom into a taxi for some nightlife, then travel to the famous Biodome next to the Olympic Stadium, journey to the Botanical Gardens, hang out in a sidewalk cafe, do some cosmopolitan shopping then finally take a trail to the top of Mont Royal. The clip is very impressive, and manages to creatively capture most of what downtown Montreal has to offer.
